What will you get up to?

Tiverton canal is the perfect place for a first family kayak trip - calm, flat water, easy access and paddling through this lovely nature reserve make for a relaxing, fun trip together. The Grand Western Canal Country Park is an absolutely beautiful place to explore from a kayak - we often see kingfishers, dragonflies and fluffy ducklings on our travels! Our sit on top kayaks are very easy to paddle and after learning a few basic paddle strokes with Mike, you will be ready to take on the canal and have a memorable trip! We have two double kayaks which would be ideal if you have a younger family member (from age 5) who would like to come along. Make a day of it and explore the canal basin at the Tiverton end where there is a horse drawn barge, tea rooms and a great visitor centre explaining the history of the canal. A great Bank holiday day out for all the family!
