What will you get up to?
What is a Rockpool Safari?! Join us on our amazing coastal safari, over, under and in the rock pools! We’ll scramble over rocks, crawl through caves and search for amazing sea creatures in rock pools using our full face mask snorkels. No two trips are ever the same!! Small group sizes with our friendly, supportive instructors who will open up the amazing underwater world to you whilst you discover what lies beneath the surface! Guaranteed smiley faces at the end and a warming hot chocolate and homemade brownie to celebrate! You can enjoy a couple of hours on the beach, enjoy a cream tea or take a quiet walk along the coast path whilst we entertain the kids!! Who is it suitable for? This session has been especially developed for primary school children as an alternative to coasteering - please note there are no jumps/big swims on this session - it is suitable for non swimmers as the rock pools we snorkel in are only waist deep. How long is the session? 2.5 hours which includes time for a hot chocolate and brownie on our return! Where to meet. Meet by the Kids Adventure Company van in the National Trust Car park at Baggy Point. Please arrive on time - allow plenty of time to get through Croyde, the session is planned on the tide times and can’t be delayed. What to wear. We will give you a wetsuit or you can wear your own wetsuit if you have one but it must have long arms and legs. You’ll need swimmers to go under the wetsuit, an old pair of shorts to go over the wetsuit and a pair of trainers with good grip. Please give any medication that you might need (inhalers etc) to your instructor at the start of the session.
