ROCKPOOL SAFARI

WHAT IS A ROCKPOOL SAFARI?!

Join us on our amazing Rockpool  Safari, over, under and in the rock pools!

We scramble over rocks, crawl through caves and search for amazing sea creatures by getting fully immersed in the rock pools using our full face mask snorkels and wearing full length wetsuits! No two trips are ever the same!! What will YOU find?

You do not need to be able to swim for this activity!

Small group sizes with our friendly, supportive instructors who will open up the amazing underwater world to you whilst you discover what lies beneath the surface! Guaranteed smiley faces and a warming hot chocolate and homemade brownie to celebrate at the end of the session!

You can enjoy a couple of hours on the beach, enjoy a cream tea or take a quiet walk along the coast path whilst we entertain the kids!!

Who can go on a Rockpool Safari?

Anyone who is a age 7+ and happy to be scrambling around and in the rockpools!

Safety

We have small groups which means our brilliant instructors will provide a session that challenges every individual at the right level for them. We specialise in taking kids, and families and we believe our instructors are the best - friendly, experienced and supportive.  We wear helmets as it can get a bit slippery, but we do not wear bouyancy aids as you will always be able to touch the bottom of the rockpools,

How much does it cost?

£35 per person for a 2.5 hour session. No booking fees!

Bespoke sessions for individual families £250 for up to 5 members. Additional family members charged at £30

Where do I need to meet?

Meet at The Kids Adventure Company van, Baggy Point National Trust Car park, Croyde, EX33 1PA. You will need to pay to park, but if you are a National Trust member remember to bring your card as it is free.

Here are some of our Top Tips to make sure you have a fab session!

  • We will provide a wetsuit, and a helmet but you are welcome to wear your own full length, thick wetsuit.

  • Please bring shorts to wear over your wetsuit. It helps protect it.

  • Come with your swimsuit under your clothes and then we can just give you a wetsuit to put on over it. Don't forget zip at the back!

  • You need to bring trainers with good grip that you are happy to get wet  (not wetsuit boots)

  • Remember a towel

  • Bring any medication/asthma inhaler (please give this to your instructor)

  • Bring some warm clothes and dry shoes to wear when you get out (remember your undies!)
